Pistol-Packin' Pete Domestic Shorthair Young Male for sale in Chewelah, Washington

Pistol-Packin' Pete's story
Pistol-Packin' Pete is a young adult tom who was released for suspected broken leg, which was actually just a huge abscess. Which should make this an easy one and a quick turn around to adoption, except he also had a surprise heart murmur, so after his abscess healed up, we took a trip to get his heart ultrasounded. He has a mild dysplasia (improper formation) of his heart valves, which is allowing some blood to leak back through instead of forming a tight seal. His heart function and blood pressure are otherwise normal, so he does not need any medical treatment for this currently, but may be at a somewhat increased risk of heart failure when he is elderly.
Pete was a champ for the car ride to Spokane, never cried or fussed in the kennel, and was extremely cooperative for the ultrasound. He is not comfortable with bigger dogs, and would do best in a home with no dogs.
Pete has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is ready to go to his permanent home. If you are interested in adopting him, or would like to make a donation toward the cost of his care, please contact Jes at docjesadams@gmail.com or .
